Agnieszka Lessmann
Agnieszka Lessmann was born in Łódż/ Poland and grew up in Poland, Israel and Germany.
She studied German and Italian Language and Literature as well as Theater, Film and Television Studies in Cologne. Already during her studies she worked as a cultural journalist and as a writer. While concentrating on works for radio in the early years, she produced numerous radio features and eight radio plays. In addition, she wrote and published scattered poems and short stories. In the meantime, her first volume of poetry has been published. She is married, has three children and lives in Bensberg near Cologne. Agnieszka Lessmann is a member of PEN. Her work as a writer has been supported by various grants and has been reviewed in numerous journals.
