Ariel Magnus

Ariel Magnus was born in Buenos Aires in 1975. From 1999 to 2005, he lived in Germany, where he studied Spanish Literature and Philosophy on a Friedrich Ebert scholarship. He also worked at the department for Hispanic Literature at Humboldt University Berlin. He worked for several newspapers and magazines in Latin America and for the German newspaper taz and SPIEGEL. He has published several novels that were translated in several languages. In 2007, he won the international literary award La otra Orilla for his novel Un chino en bicicleta, and the Latinamerican Prize for short fiction Juan de Castellanos. Magnus lives and works as a writer and literary translator in Buenos Aires.
