Christina Wechsel
Christina Wechsel, born in Montréal in 1981, grew up in Canada and Greece before her family moved to Freising in Bavaria. The half-Swiss discovered her love of the mountains early on and learned to ski at the age of three. After an apprenticeship as a hotel manageress, she moved to Zurich in 2004. After she had to have a leg amputated following a car accident, she changed careers and now works as a naturopath and coach with her own natural healing practice. With the PiK project (Peers in Hospital), Christina accompanies other people affected by a leg amputation. She speaks about her own story and about dealing with strokes of fate at congresses, festivals and in the media.
Christina lives with her husband in Munich and spends every free second in the mountains or traveling .
