Hannah Dübgen

Hannah Dübgen was born in 1977. She studied philosophy, literature and musicology in Oxford, Paris and Berlin. She worked for drama and musical theater, and wrote the libretti for several internationally successful operas. Her debut novel Strom, awarded Prizes of the State Capital Düsseldorf and the Literature Festival of Chambéry, was published by dtv in 2013. This was followed by the novel Über Land (2016), the Arabic edition of which won Hannah Dübgen an award from the Iraqi Writers' Union. Her works have been translated into several languages and supported with grants at home and abroad.
