Katja Schönherr

Katja Schönherr, born in 1982, grew up in Dresden. She studied journalism and cultural studies at the University of Leipzig and literary writing at the Bern University of the Arts. Her first novel Marta and Arthur was nominated for the Debut Prize of the Harbour Front Festival in Germany in 2019 and for the Prix Les Inrockuptibles as best foreign book in France. Her second novel Alles ist noch zu wenig (2022) was praised by Denis Scheck in the program Druckfrisch as a strong, a touching book about the drama called 'family'. In 2020, Katja Schönherr took part in the reading competition for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. Katja Schönherr lives as a writer and cultural journalist in Switzerland.
