Lukas Rietzschel
Lukas Rietzschel, born in Räckelwitz in eastern Saxony in 1994, lives in Görlitz. His debut novel Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen was published in 2018 and was a bestseller that also found its way into the theater. The novel was nominated for the aspekte literature prize and received the Gellert Prize. In the spring of 2021, Rietzschel's first dramatic work, Widerstand, premiered at Schauspiel Leipzig. In 2022 he published his second novel Raumfahrer. In the same year, he was awarded the Saxon Literature Prize. In 2023, the author was a Scholarship Holder at the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles and receives the Literature Prize Text & Language.
