Michael Wallner
Michael Wallner, born in Graz in 1958, played at the Burgtheater and the Schillertheater in Berlin after his training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. In 1982 he received the Actor's Prize at the North German Theatertreffen. Since 1987 he has worked as a freelance theater and opera director and has staged productions in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Bochum, Vienna, Hamburg and Lübeck, among other cities. Wallner received the Kainz Medal of the City of Vienna for directing War. He has lived as a freelance author in Berlin since 2000. His bestseller April in Paris has been translated into over 20 languages.
