Natalie Buchholz

Natalie Buchholz was born in France in 1977. She studied Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice at the University of Hildesheim and at the Université Aix-Marseille.
In 2018, her debut novel Der rote Swimmingpool was published. This was followed by the novel Unser Glück, which was optioned as a film, and the two novels for young people PS: Du bist die Beste! and PS. Du bist genau richtig! In 2020 she was awarded the Spiegelungen Prize for minimal prose. In 2021 she was a fellow of the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art (Young Art and New Ways) and in 2022 of the Bavarian Academy of Writing. In 2023, she participated as a finalist in the Irseer Pegasus. Her new novel is supported by the Rudolf Harig Scholarship of the Saarland. The author lives and works in Munich and in the Inn Valley.
