Tommie Goerz

Tommie Goerz (Dr. Marius Kliesch, born 1954 in Erlangen) studied sociology, philosophy and political science. He has been a scientist, advertiser and lecturer and has among other prizes won a Bronze Lion in Cannes in 2007. Since 2009, he has published ten novels about the original Franconian detective Friedo Behütuns. His book Tante Emma lebt was named Germany's most beautiful regional book and won silver for Germany's most beautiful photo book (2021), his crime thriller Meier received the Glauser Prize in 2021 and Frenzel the Crime Cologne Award in 2022. His highly acclaimed first novel Im Tal was published in 2023. Goerz is a member of the Syndikat and PEN Berlin. He lives in Erlangen.
