Till Raether was born in Koblenz in 1969 and grew up in Berlin. He went to the German School of Journalism in Munich and studied American Literature and History in Berlin and New Orleans. He spent a year in Seattle, then started working for the women’s monthly magazine, Brigitte, and worked his way up through the ranks to chief editor. Till Raether lives in Hamburg with his family. He published several novels and nonfiction books, amongst others the successful crime series on inspector Adam Danowski, published by Rowohlt.
