Alexandra Klobouk

Alexandra Klobouk is an author, illustrator, and visual storyteller. In her work, she combines visual storytelling with journalism and intercultural communication. With lively, humorous images and personal stories, she addresses complex topics such as climate change, equality, xenophobia, and social diversity.
Her books Polymeer (Onkel&Onkel), Islam für Kinder & Erwachsene (C.H. Beck), Lissabon im Land am Rand (Viel&Mehr) were awarded the Schönste Deutsche Bücher (Most Beautiful German Books) prize by the Stiftung Buchkunst. She publishes with publishers such as Suhrkamp, Insel, C.H. Beck, and Kunstmann.
Her column Gehen, written in collaboration with author Christian Seiler, appears weekly in the Austrian newspaper KURIER. She works for major magazines and newspapers in German-speaking countries and for institutions such as the Berliner Festspiele.
Her new book will be published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch next year.
