
Astrid Sozio
Astrid Sozio, born 1979, studied Economics in Germany and Creative Writing in England after training as a bookseller. She has worked as an accountant, copywriter and shoe saleswoman with stations in Bochum, Frankfurt, Brussels, London and Düsseldorf. Her texts have appeared in Die Süddeutsche Zeitung and various literary magazines such as transmission magazine and entwürfe. In 2012 she was a finalist for the Prenzlauer Berg Literature Prize and in 2014 for the Open Mike. She was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann-Prize 2016 with an excerpt from her debut novel. She currently lives with her family in Hamburg and works as a freelance translator.
