Dan Diner
Dan Diner was born in 1946. He teaches modern history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The internationally renowned historian was director of the Simon Dubnow Institute for Jewish History and Culture at the University of Leipzig from 1999 to 2014 and is a member of the Saxon Academy of Sciences. Dan Diner chairs the Alfred Landecker Foundation. His major works include Zeitenschwelle. Contemporary Questions for History (2010); Understanding the Century. 1917-1989 (2015); and Ritual Distance. Israel's German Question (2015).
