Didi Drobna
Didi Drobna, born in Bratislava in 1988, has lived in Vienna since 1991. She studied German language and literature and communication science at the University of Vienna. She has been awarded several scholarships and literary prizes for her literary work. She presented her novels on reading tours in seven countries.
Didi Drobna also works as a juror for literary competitions (Exil Literary Prize, Wartholz Literary Competition, Floriana Literary Biennial, City of Linz Literary Scholarship) and is again teaching at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in 2023. Parallel to her writing, Didi Drobna works at a computer science research center. Her debut novel zwischen Schaumstoff (2014) was published by edition exil, her second novel Als die Kirche den Fluss überquerte (2018) by PIPER and her third novel Was bei uns bleibt (2021) also by PIPER.
