Donat Blum
Donat Blum, born 1986 in Schaffhausen, lives in Zurich and Berlin. He has directed a film festival, worked as a dishwasher and business manager, and studied at the Swiss and German Literature Institutes. In 2018, his debut Opoe was published by Ullstein. He is the editor of the first and only queer literary magazine Glitter, initiator of the first online literary festival VIRAL during the pandemic and has been awarded funding prizes from the city and canton of Schaffhausen, a writing grant from the city of Zurich, a residency grant from the LCB and a research grant from ProHelvetia. In addition to working on his second novel, he is currently developing the cinema documentary The Revolutionary Power of Lust Itself with Kerstin Polte.
