Hannah Mann
Hannah Mann is the great-granddaughter of writer Heinrich Mann and daughter of Czech director Jindřich Mann. Influenced by Eastern European fairy tales and Jewish history, she struggled for a long time with the fame of her family name. After studying politics, pursuing a career in start-ups and writing her first short texts, she has now found the courage to develop her own literary voice. She describes how this came about in her essay Oh, Mann!, which was published in Zeitmagazin.
