Hannelore Hippe

Hannelore Hippe has worked as an author and writer for many years. She has written over a hundred radio features for ARD, radio plays and also screenplays. She has also published 12 novels - ten of which are crime novels. She uses the pseudonyms Hannah O'Brien for her Ireland - and Hanne H. Kvandal for her Svalbard crime novels. She has published three non-fiction books, two of which are culinary travels. Her work has won several awards. Her novel manuscript Eiszeiten ( published as Die verlorenen Töchter) was the template for the feature film Zwei Leben, the German Oscar nominee in 2013. She lived for a long time in Ireland and Great Britain, which had a decisive influence on her writing style. Today she lives mostly in Cologne and on the Mosel, but also in Norway.
