Jan Eike Dunkhase

Jan Eike Dunkhase, born in Munich in 1973, is a historian and lives with his family in Berlin. He studied in Heidelberg and Jerusalem, received his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin, and subsequently worked as a research assistant at the German Literature Archive in Marbach and at Bielefeld University, as well as a fellow at the Bard Graduate Center and Columbia University in New York. He has published several books on the history of ideas and culture, most recently Provinz der Moderne (Province of Modernity). Marbach's Weg zum Deutschen Literaturarchiv (Klett-Cotta) and Kornmann's Wahrheit. Eine Geschichtslehre aus der Sattelzeit (Matthes & Seitz Berlin). His edition of the correspondence between Reinhart Koselleck and Carl Schmitt (Suhrkamp) reached second place on the non-fiction bestseller list of Deutschlandfunk Kultur, ZDF, and Die Zeit.
