Melanie Petersen O'Connor
Melanie Petersen grew up near Husum at the North Sea coast. After studying in Hamburg and working in New York and Düsseldorf, she now lives with her family in Berlin. She works as an art director and customer consultant for agencies and publishing houses.
Melanie has been in love with the island of Föhr, where her first novel is set, for over 30 years. Since the early nineties, Melanie has spent summer vacations on Föhr with her parents and siblings. Today, she herself now brings her four-year-old daughter to the North Sea island, where the family still gets together year after year in July.
