
Özlem Özgül Dündar
Özlem Özgül Dündar, born 1983, studied Literature and Philosophy in Wuppertal and spent time in Ireland, Turkey and France. She worked as a free journalist for Federwelt Magazine. Since 2014 she studies Creative Writing at the Deutsche Literaturinstitut Leipzig. Dündar translates Turkish poetry into German and writes plays, poetry and prose. She received numerous awards, f.e. the Wolfgang-Weyrauch-Förderpreis and the Retzhofer Dramapreis in 2015. In 2018 she was invited to the Bachmann-Prize in Klagenfurt, where she won the Kelag-Prize for her text und ich brenne.
