Svenja Flaßpöhler

Svenja Flaßpöhler was born in 1975 and holds a PhD in Philosophy. She was a literary critic on the television program Buchzeit on 3Sat and senior editor at Deutschlandfunk Kultur, where she hosted the philosophical programme Sein und Streit. She is responsible for the program of the annual Phil.cologne event in Cologne. Her pamphlet Die potente Frau has been discussed and reviewed many times, as have her non-fiction books Forgiveness and My Death is mine. She was awarded the Arthur-Koestler-Prize in 2007. Svenja Flaßpöhler is chief editor of Philosophie Magazin and lives with her family in Berlin.
